Zillow Group (Z) agreed to pay $15 million to investors to settle a lawsuit that alleged the Company withheld information about a federal probe into a co-marketing program for lenders and real estate agents.
The lawsuit alleged that during the Class Period, the Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that Zillow's co-marketing program did not comply with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. Furthermore, Zillow's public statements were allegedly materially false and misleading throughout the relevant times.
When the true details of these allegations entered the market, the lawsuit claimed that investors suffered damages.
